We're both breathing on our own!

Brittany: We had a hard time getting to see the babies today. On the first try, we found out they were closed. The second time we went down, we were told they were trying to put in a pic line in Garet and we couldn't be there during procedures. Thinking the third time would be the charm, we went down again. At least this time we got to see the girls, but had to leave shortly after arriving because they were admitting a new baby. Anyway, we still got some good news on both girls.

Kitt: I am up to 13 cc of my mommy's milk. I'm told this is almost 1/2 an ounce and that I should be really proud. I am still breathing on my own but using the CPAP machine. Talk in the NICU is that my mommy is going to get to hold me tomorrow for the first time. I hope it's true!

Garet: I am off the ventilator now, too and breathing with the CPAP machine. They tried to put a pic line in me tonight but they weren't able to get it in. Maybe tomorrow. My nurses say I am doing really well, too and they keep telling me soon I will get some of Mommy's milk.

We'll be able to tell you more tomorrow after Mommy and Daddy come to see us. Hopefully they will be able to spend more time with us!
