Happy Memorial Day!

More new people to meet....it's like they never end! We had another great day, met some new people and got lots of attention. While Kitt was napping this morning, Garet, of course, was not so Mommy took her to the grocery store. She had a great time and met a man from Sudan who is also a twin. He told us about traditions related to twins in his country. Later in the day we went with Mommy and Daddy to a picnic. Unfortunately, they didn't take any pictures there but know we still had a great time. Also, there were just more pictures taken of Garet today. It was not intentional.....just happened. Tonight Garet weighed 15 pounds, 1/2 ounce and Kitt weighed 14 pounds, 8 1/2 ounces. Nanny won't be here this week....we will all miss her. We'll see how Mommy does :)

We're beat!

We were such the popular girls today! We went with Mommy to church and were greeted with some friends who had been waiting a long time to see us: Jane and Jana. They both moved a long way away but were here this weekend to see Aunt LeAnn, and of course, us! After church they all came to our house for lunch and playtime/hold time with us. We had such a good time being loved on for so long. Then Aunt LeAnn's Daddy and Grandma came to the house to pick her up so you will see them in some pictures, too. The attention wasn't over though. We went up to see some relatives just north of here. We met some of our third cousins and a great-great aunt! We didn't get put down even one time. Some pictures are below but there were so many from today that Mommy put them in a Snapfish album for you to see. Of course, Garet did not want to sleep at all during the excitement so she was exhausted when we got home. It was a great day for everyone!

Sweet potatoes anyone?

What an exciting day! Aunt LeAnn came to get us out of bed this morning and hung out with us most of today. We went to the cupcake place (and yes, they asked where we had been. One lady said something was missing while we were away and she finally realized it was us!!!) and had cupcakes with Kate, Alyce and their Mommy. They sure did like playing with us and we thought they were pretty funny. Tonight we tried sweet potatoes again. Garet did a great job with them and was so funny trying to figure out what to do with them. Kitt is still working on it but will get there soon!

Busy, busy, busy!

Today we were busy getting ready for Aunt LeAnn's visit....it was a great day! Mommy wanted to show you this picture because she put Garet on her tummy parallel to Kitt. Then she walked into the kitchen and came back to find her like you see her below. Not only did she roll to her back but she somehow managed to get her head where you see it! We went to Walgreen's today to get some things and while we were there, thunder and lightning started. It was sunny when we left the house. We've never gotten home so fast in all our lives! Emily and her Mommy and Daddy came by tonight for a little visit. Mommy decided to weigh us again: Kitt is 14 pounds, 2 ounces and Garet is 14 pounds, 14 ounces. We tried to wait up to see Aunt LeAnn but only Kitt managed to see her tonight.

Another birthday?

Today is our 7 month birthday! Time sure is flying by.....we didn't take a special birthday picture but we did go to the big pool again. Nanny went with us and so did Emily and her Mommy. The water was much warmer today than on Sunday and we both loved it. Nanny and Mommy held us and let us kick around. Garet really liked to slap the water. She must have liked the sound. Kitt was really happy in the pool, too, unlike last time we went! We walked up there so when we got home we were so tired. Can you believe we were so tired that we slept right through our noon bottle???? We got up and ate at 3:00, read some books with Mommy, listened to some music and then fell right back asleep. We tried a new food tonight: sweet potatoes! We did not really know what to do with them once Mommy put them in our mouths but we will try again tomorrow. Mommy went to have dinner tonight with a friend so Daddy was on his own with us. He took us to the cupcake store so he could get a cupcake for our birthday! We got one for him and one for Mommy, too. Of course, he did a great job!

Back to knitting

So yesterday we went to our neighborhood pool for the first time. Sorry we don't have any pictures to post but Mommy and Daddy were so busy watching us that they didn't take any. As for today, we had a great day! Garet slept until 10:30AM!!! Can you believe it? Nanny was here, of course, and she watched out for us while Mommy went to the grocery store to get us some real baby food (among other things, too). We will let you know how that goes when we try it. We played at home and then Mommy finally took us back to the knitting group. We sure do love listening to all the ladies talk and we sure don't mind all that attention either!

Family fun

We had such a fun day today just hanging out. All four of us went to Panera Bread this morning and thought of Grandpa. Mommy and Daddy has souffles....they sure did look good! Then we came home and hung out together. Mommy and Daddy watched a movie. We did overhear Mommy comment that it is harder to watch a movie with babies waking up and needing to be fed but we like to keep her busy! We think we're doing a great job at that. Mommy had fun taking pictures of us this afternoon on the floor, mainly watching Garet try to eat Kitt's shirt! We will see you soon.....

Take me out to the ball game....

....well not really! We are going to get to a ball game at some point, but today we just made sure our shirts fit. (They do!) The weather today was not nice at all. We didn't even get to go for a walk. Instead we hung out at home, listened to some music, played with Mommy...the usual. The one picture where Garet is leaning over is her checking out Kitt on the floor. Don't worry Mommy was standing right there making sure she wouldn't fall.
